Record review: Bigg Taj VS Spee Six Nine – EP

a3215393264_10Uncertain is one word that comes to mind when the oriental theme is introduced on EP opener ‘Natural Selection’, combining this with the artist’s name, Bigg Taj, and anticipation is at it’s peak.

You’re pleasantly surprised; in fact the oriental theme is a nice touch and something that continued throughout the EP.

Rather kitsch lyrics are a surprising pleasance paired with this style of rap crossing between refreshingly conscious and political hip-hop.

With Scottish rap on the projectorary those who have already tapped into the scene will lap up this EP, and even if Scottish hip-hop isn’t you’re cuppa then give this one a try it might just get you hooked.
