Record review: Ed Muirhead – Simple Life [Tattie]

-simple-life-smallSinger songwriter and piano champ Ed Muirhead makes music with a passion: blues or ballads, you hear it in his voice and feel it in his playing.

Opener, ‘Ballad of Lorraine and Frank’ begins with an inspirational bagpipe solo soon followed by a soft and gentle piano tune and showcases Muirhead’s lyrically talents, which continue to shine throughout.

The vocals are unmistakable, Muirhead’s Dundee accent shines throughout giving a nice Scottish feel to the record as a whole.

You can tell that so much hard work has gone into every detail of the record, one that you struggle to find anything to criticise – a truly amazing talent.
