Record review: Static Future – ‘Marseille’

a1312948871_10Alternative rock band Static Future’s single ‘Marseille’ is the type of song you listen to on a long road trip, you can imagine yourself driving along with the track blaring, badly singing along to the catchy lyrics.

Drummer Harry Parlane does a great job making the track more listenable, adding a rhythm to the track that makes listeners want to get up on that dance floor.

Vocally, Gavin Marshall brings a sort to calm and catchy vibe to the track, for a rock singer his voice sounds almost country, but this fits extremely well.

‘Marseille’ is a good introduction to Static Future’s style and work, it isn’t too loud or overpowering suggesting the focus on band making a great song rather that use all the rock band gimmicks.
